Our Aims & Objectives

• The School & College is equipped with all modern facilities for students with highly qualified and competent staff. It is housed in a grand spacious building & has its play grounds. It aims at providing quality education to the public with special emphasis onIslamiyat, Science, and on the ideology of Pakistan.
• Admissions are being made on the availability of seats, subject to qualifying the entry test.
• each class has at least five sections and the maximum number of students in each section is 50 to 60 students. Both male and female students are admitted from KG to Intermediate classes.
• The school & college provides education to more than 5000 students, out of which about four hundred male students from class IV to above are given hostel facilities.
• The School & College has itw own transport for the conveyance of the day scholars.
• The School & College is well-endowed with sports facilities and it has two grassy play grounds.
• The School & College also has at its disposal the service of a part time Doctor and a full-time one qualified nurse for the students.
• It is proposed that facilities for agro-teachnical and other diversified courses will be provided in due to course of time. the courses of studies followed by the students at present proposed SSC.

The concept of education has undergone a significant change in the past many years and a much wider variety of individual, social and national objectives re expected to be achieved through purposeful and quality education, such type of education which was once limited to a privileged group of persons is now demanded by all the sections of society. the limited means accessible to meet the growing demand of the society for quality education necessitates an intensive effort utilizing fully the available resources.

The population of the city has considerably increased while the number of schools imparting quality education has remained static for the last few decades. The English medium schools, already functioning in the Peshawar have limited capacity to accommodate even the requirements of their sponsoring authorities. there has been considerable pressure on these schools and large number of the students are refused admission every year. It has created an acute problem for the public of Peshawar in particular and the population of the province in general.

Keeping in view the growing need of the people of the area for quality education, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa opened this Public School/College in Peshawar in early 1979. 

Peshawar Public School under the umbrella of Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is progressing day by day.
